Introducing Restylane SkinBoosters – a faster, much smarter track to overall facial rejuvenation.

Let’s talk about facial lines. Those ones that are too fine for standard Dermal Fillers, yet are too deep for standard facials. The crinkly and medium depth ones that show your age. Most of them are indicative of chronic dermal dehydration in combination with advanced photo damage.

One ingredient used in skincare stands out head and shoulders above the others for hydration properties – Hyaluronic Acid. Produced naturally in plentiful quantity by our skin while we are young, Hyaluronic Acid all but deserts us beyond 30. Hyaluronic Acid is the moisture binding substance in the dermis – able to hold a thousand times its weight in water. Once it’s gone, lines from dehydration start to move in.

By the time we hit 40, if we have not found a way to replenish Hyaluronic Acid, we have medium to deeper lines. The first obvious thing to do is to step up our skincare – almost all moisturisers are designed to limit TEWL (transepidermal water loss), and some have additional ingredients to boost the skins immunity, assist transdermal cellular communication or to strengthen specific cellular functions.

However when it comes to lasting hydration, only a limited number of specific ingredients deliver hydration to deeper layers of skin, and they must be used daily – if not twice daily to become effective.

So – why not look for a simple replenishment of what we no longer have. Replace the Hyaluronic Acid that our body is no longer creating. Problem solved. This is where Restylane SkinBoosters come in. SkinBooster is an injectable Hyaluronic Acid that sits in the deeper layers of your skin and slow-releases the Hyaluronic. It is literally replacing that which we are no longer making naturally. This makes excellent sense!

The Skinboosters Hydration Treatment was derived from traditional Dermal Fillers. Dermal Fillers are basically a very thick Hyaluronic Acid substance blended with a topical anaesthetic and injected into your lines to literally fill them out – plug the hollow and cause the line to not be visible. Skinboosters is a much lighter, more fluid version of the same substance, designed to be pushed into the Dermis – the underlying skin.

A rejuvenation factor is discerned almost immediately, as Hyaluronic Acid has a secondary benefit to the dermal tissue – it is a highly active antioxidant in its own right – and sets to not just boosting hydration, but also repairing and protecting against photo damage. This is like a Super-Facial (granted, with not as relaxing a delivery!). For people who really want results – this is the smart way to go.

To build up the base, we recommend three treatments, spaced 3 or 4 weeks apart. These will take up to an hour. Tiny bruises – while unlikely, are possible post treatment so it’s best to be able to head home for the day afterwards. Following your three treatments, we’ll need to see you twice per annum to upkeep your results. This then becomes quite a cost effective regime.

The SkinBooster Treatment will effectively reduce fine to medium lines, restore firmness, reduce roughness and considerably brighten the complexion, as you can see in the above image. For optimum and the fastest possible result, we recommend two or three exfoliation facials during the initial treatment period such as microdermabrasion, or enzyme peels (recommended not within 72 hours of the SkinBooster Treatment) to exfoliate the uppermost layers of your skin to improve light reflection.

Beyond your initial three SkinBooster treatments – once you have full rehydration, if you still require reversal of photo damage or evening of pigmentation, we recommend IPL Rejuvenation or Fraxel Rejuvenation, Dermal Needling – plus of course Botox or Dermal Fillers as required.

Why look your age when you have these incredible age reversal treatments at your fingertips. The cost of the SkinBooster treatment is $650 per treatment. Results are long lasting. Beyond an initial series of three treatments over 10 – 12 weeks, the recommendation to to revisit the treatment twice per annum.
